BrimSage is based in Maseru, Lesotho. We build practical tools for the day-to-day of running a business in Southern Africa — taking orders, taking payments, and knowing who your customer is.
Why we exist
The gap we kept seeing
Most of the software a Lesotho or South African business is offered was designed somewhere else, for a company with more staff, faster internet, and different payment rails. It technically works, but it fights you.
We started BrimSage to build the opposite: tools that assume the line will drop, that mobile money is the default, that the person on the till changed last month, and that a lender needs to verify a Lesotho ID, not just a passport from anywhere.
Today that's three products — a Restaurant POS, a WhatsApp Chatbot, and AttestID, our KYC verification API — with more to come as we hear what businesses need next.

What we hold ourselves to
Local first
We build for the networks, documents, devices, and payment methods that businesses here actually use — starting from the constraints, not retrofitting them.
Few products, done properly
We would rather run three products that each earn their keep than a catalogue of half-finished ones. Each has a clear job and a business it's for.
We stay after go-live
Setup, training, and a real support line are part of the product. Software that nobody can operate isn't a solution.
Honest about limits
We tell you what a product does and doesn't do today. If it isn't the right fit yet, we'll say so.
